
Founded in 2020 at Florida International University.
Pozdin Lab develops next-generation thin-film sensing technologies for health monitoring, with a focus on long-term, unobtrusive measurement and advanced AI-enabled data analysis. Our research aims to create robust sensing platforms that can operate reliably in real-world environments while extracting meaningful physiological information from complex data streams.
In parallel, we integrate sensing platforms into instrumented microphysiological systems to study physiological responses to external stimuli in cell culture models.Some of our sensors find their way onto pigs. We are also actively working to get out sensors inside tortoises of South Florida.
By combining materials, devices, and data science, Pozdin Lab advances tools for translational health monitoring, in vitro biological studies, and intelligent sensing at the interface of engineering and medicine.
